The Dark Knight by Lykketrollet84 The Dark Knight by Lykketrollet84
Batman, because I love him! This piece is just for fun and for personal education.
Ink on A3 watercolor paper, pluss some table salt.

(And yes, I know my painting is not perfectly identical. I always freehand and never trace my work, so my work is never better than my skills :)  )

I love the bold use of black ink, it really captures the dark emotions you associate with Batman. And I have to say, I would never have thought to use salt as an art medium. Clever! It adds grainy texture which brings the piece to life, makes it seem 3D. Brilliant piece! :la:

It's great you don't trace. You definitely learn more when you have to freehand rather than trying to be a copy-machine. And although the picture itself isn't exactly intricate, your drawing is proportionate and wonderful!

I really like the table salt idea!

Fun and personal education are what it's about!  So is freehand-work.  You'll never learn if you trace.  And for whatever it's worth I'm happy you did it this way.  :)
